Our Story

Greek roots. A pantry worth sharing.

Greek Bounty began with something we missed: the olive oil we knew from home.

Our founder, Nikos Andreadis, spent nine years working as a chef in hospitality in Astoria and London. Eleni Rapti, who leads operations, grew up among her grandfather’s olive trees in Messinia. When they couldn’t find that familiar taste in New York, they began looking closer to its source.

Experience, from the grove to the tasting table

In November 2023, Eleni spent ten days gathering olives on her family’s estate and following their journey through the village olive mill. In June 2024, Nikos sampled fourteen thyme honeys with beekeepers in Kalymnos and selected two. These experiences shape how we choose the ingredients that belong in our pantry.

Meet our starting collection

• Olive oil: Koroneiki olive oil from the Rapti estate in Messinia, cold-pressed and presented in a 500 ml pack.
• Honey: raw thyme honey from beekeeper G. Skevofylakas in Kalymnos, in a 450 g pack.
• Mountain tea: hand-harvested Sideritis scardica from the Olympus cooperative, in a 40 g pack.

We select small producers we have visited, review batch analyses and complete labels, and taste before choosing. Harvest photography and batch analyses are intended for publication with the producers’ written permission. We plan to add documents and producer photographs when available and permitted.

The people behind our ingredient guides

Nikos leads blind tastings, and Eleni develops our ingredient guides. Our editorial process includes review before publication by food technologist Ioanna Lionakis, a 2009 Master of Science graduate of the University of Leuven. We keep culinary traditions, producer information and general dietary context distinct, and welcome corrections through our contact email.

Meet Pappou

Pappou is our illustrated grandfather: a reminder to take your time, enjoy your food and make room at the table. He is our brand mascot, bringing warmth to the pantry and the shared table.
